Chapter III- Members of Co-operative Societies, their Rights and Liabilities, Section 23- Votes of members

Every member of a co-operative society shall have one vote in the affairs of the society, provided that-

  1. In the case of an equality of votes, the chairman shall have a second or casting vote;
  2. A nominal or associate member shall not have the right of vote;
  3. In cases where a Central Government official is a co-operative society member, he shall have one vote.
