Chapter XII- Offences and Penalties

The chapter states that-

2) Any member or past member or the nominee, heir or legal representative of a deceased member of a co-operative society who disposes of any (mortgaged) property in respect of which the society is entitled to have a first charge under that section or do any other act, shall be punishable with a fine.

3) If a co-operative society or its officer or member wilfully
furnishes false information, or without reasonable excuse disobeys any
summons, requisition or lawful written order issued under the provisions of this Act or does not furnish any information required from him under the provisions
of this Act, shall be punishable with a fine.

4) Any employer who, without sufficient cause, fails to pay to a co-operative society the amount deducted by him from the wages of his employee under section 44 within a period of fourteen days from the date of deduction, on which such deduction shall be punishable with a fine.
